No more cringe copy, baby

New site is FINALLY here. Check it out.

Just yesterday, Nick Gulic sent me a VERY IMPORTANT SCREENSHOT:

Screenshot of Nick's CRM showing Cass Whitaker project as complete.

In case you can't see it very clearly, it's the project he has for my new site marked as COMPLETE.

No. Next. Action.

"How does that feel?" I asked—because the man was working like mad every night to finish it in time for my BNI presentation today (while during school holidays, poor bloke).

"I was like 'oh cool it's live' for like 3 minutes," he said. "Then back to being dead inside."

😅

Well, I am having ALL OF THE FEELINGS.

Earlier this year in February—at my last BNI presentation, actually—I announced that I was ditching my content agency Wordcraft and working exclusively under my personal brand: casswhitaker.com.

And now, about 5 months later, Nick Gulic from Creative Click, has built me the most incredible site.

He's put up with me constantly wanting to tweak and change the copy to make sure it's absolutely bloody killer. Not to mention having to work around my "wordiness" lol.

WhatsApp screenshot of Nick crying about my long-arse headlines.
That copy one is sick—and made the final cut lol.
Yeah, a lot of this copy got changed lol.
I tried so hard. 🤣

He's also pushed back and basically told me to stop being dumb when I suggested design things that would look trash. 😆

Spoiler: It looks shit and he made it WAY better lol

But that's why you work with an expert, right?

"I'm proud of your site," he added, after his dead-inside comment lol. "But I've also been looking at it almost daily for a couple of months I think."

(It was actually 6 weeks. I went and checked our chat history. 😆)

And what he's managed to build in 6 weeks seriously blows my mind. Especially when the last two weeks were during school holidays. Quite a few times in the last week, I'd send him all the things that needed adjusting as part of the QA and be like: "Okay, so I'm off to bed, haaaave funnnnn night xxx."

Yep, I'm a jerk. 😆

Sooo, with that in mind, please go check it out. Not only for me, but for all the late nights Nick has pulled in the last few weeks to get this out into the world.

I shared it in my BNI presentation today and got some awesome feedback already.

And I also announced the official launch of The Brief—FINALLY! Check out the new and improved sales page... and you'll also notice a little announcement bar on top of the website offering a special launch offer.

For just this week, you can get your first month of The Brief for only $1.

Once issue #1 is live on Friday 24th July (with new issues landing on the 24th of every month), the special launch offer will be gone.

Expect quite a few more emails in the coming days gushing about my site and publicly kissing Nick's ass a little bit more.

Maybe a copy lesson here and there too lol. Speaking of copy lessons, don't forget to tap the post-it note on the homepage. One of our favourite elements of the new site!

Cheers,
Cass
